AR-15/M-4 Pistol Legality

Are AR-15/M-4 semi-auto pistols platforms such as the following or anything like these models permitted in Canada? Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
(1) LWRC M6A2-P Pistol (no- don't believe they have permits)
(2) Sig Arms P556 SWAT Pistol (no- variant)
(3) Bushmaster Carbon 15 Pistol (I believe they are already here)

Hmm...if they are present in Canada, can you recommend a firearms dealer that could help me get one of those above cause I went to a dealer and they said that they are considered a prohibited firearms

One of the site sponsors sells Rock River Arms A4 pistols....Questar

click the link to Questar
not sure what you mean by copycat?
It's an AR pistol - made by a company that makes AR rifles

The Rock River Arms A4 Pistol...this is a legitimate m-4 pistol variant in Canada...not some copycat in anyway?

:weird:

They are all copycats, US Army's "M-4" designation is for a carbine not for a pistol, besides a true "M-4" has the fun setting on the safety/selector. :ar15:

LWRC and the SIG swat pistols are both barrel marked as 5.56, so the US States Dept will not issue export permits for them for now.

hey crossbones, I noticed on your A4 there's a tube coming out where the stock would be, could that tube be removed?

If you want the gun to be single shot sure...
would probably destroy your bolt after a couple rounds though...

That's where the recoil spring is..

The Carbon 15 and LWRC Pistol are just AR15s.

The Swat Pistol is full auto, so it's prohib in Canada 'cept to those Grandfathered with Class 12(2) FULL AUTO on their Firearms License.

Grandfathered status allows you to possess and acquire prohibited firearms that are already registered in Canada, but not to bring a prohibited firearm into Canada as a new import.

Here's a list of what is prescribed as Restricted and Prohibited Firearms in Canada. It's the RCMP website. Look for yourself. While there, explore other firearm laws available for your perusal.

In Canada They are Restricted and anything under 4.25 inches in the barrel is prohibitive

WRONG! The 105mm (4.1") barrel length only applies to handguns. An AR15 can have any barrel length you want. The limit of course being how long the barrel needs to be in order for the thing to function.

FWIW there is no real AR pistol designation in Canada. That is an American legal thing. An AR "Pistol" is just and AR rifle with the stock removed. And here in Canada that doesn't change the designation of the firearm.

Sure, if you don't mind picking the bolt carrier out of your forehead after each shot.

Would be really difficult to get grandfathered for a NEW pistol.. they had to be in country when the 12.3 (?) class was created
