A couple of pics of my M&P 15-22 so far. Looking at some more Magpul kool-aid to pour onto it as well as a Vortex red dot. Gotta get a sling too.

I've got close to 1500 rds through it with no issues and was getting pretty decent groups with it @ 50 and 100 yards off iron sights.

I love this rifle! Bad as you wanna be!!!

As far as the M&P goes, it's an AR-15 rifle with a proprietary bolt/firing mechanism. The lower parts, trigger, springs and all that, can be replaced with standard AR parts. Whereas the SR-22 is a Ruger 10-22 in a AR style kit, the M&P 15-22 is a ground up .22 caliber polymer AR.

My new 10/22 red-dot:

Stainless 10/22 with black receiver
Hogue Stock
Aimpoint T1 in ADM Low Mount
UTG Rail
VQ Buffer, Extractor, Hammer, Takedown Screw, Auto Bolt Release

FRENCH GEVARM MODEL A3, wearing a Redfield 4X on Weaver tip-offs. ALL original, front sight post inserts all still in the storage well in pistol grip. The A3 came WITHOUT a buttplate. Hard to find them in this excellent condition at this late date. Not been made for 40 years or so.

Found this one at on-line Greg Martin auction conducted from Vegas a few months ago. I've since only added a sling.

Finding ALL the original inserts still in the storage well 40 years later and unknown travels is very unusual.

Below is the A3 butt. Commonly found on ALL A3s I've observed, or have been reported, are the filled-in holes in the butt. These make it APPEAR there once was a buttplate which was removed. NOT SO! I have learned from OLD documents that it was never furnished with one.

Nice set-up!:)

I'm curious though, where did you get that UTG rail?

Are you able to see your iron sights when you remove your optics?

I've been trying to find a rail for my stock 10/22 that allows me to still use the iron sights.

So far, the only one I've read about that works is the B-Square interlock base. I can't seem to find anyone in Canada that has them.

Thanks! I found the UTG rail on ebay; I ordered two and with shipping it came to around $20.

With the optics removed, you can see the front sight and a bit of the rear sight. It's not perfect, but it'll easily put you on paper at 25 yds. I didn't ring it out more than that because I was eager to put the red dot on.

One note about the UTG rail is that it seems a little bigger than true picatinny spec. I know this because my (non-adjustable) ARMS mount wouldn't fit on it, while the ADM mount did after being adjusted for a larger-than-spec rail. I didn't really expect perfection for a $7 rail!

Thanks for the schooling Mauser, neat item that butt plate.

We are a tad out numbered by all this whipper snapper plastic and stainless stuff. I best get the camera out again.

Thanks for the info!:)

I basically just want a mount that allows me to see out to 25 yards if my Burris Speed-Dot should fail.

I can't seem to find anyplace that sells B-Square mounts up here in Canada. At least a UTG mount gives me another option if I can find one.

Cheers!
