Best place to buy a sks online?

Just wondering where is the best site to buy a legit military grade sks, not a import piece of $&@"

LOL. They're ALL imports =)

Ki11ercane has the best cheapish deal on Russians, Marstar has the best deal on PLA rifles, Westrifle can hook you up with a not refurbished Russian for more $$$ and CGN member Weimajack has some of the cleanest not franken pinned refurbs to be found and posts excellent pics with his WTS so you know what you're getting.

If you haven't already you need to get EE access so you may partake of tasty deals from other members. There are some really amazing deals to be had.

Happiness is just an EMT away :D

Are Ki11ercane's riflers refurbished?

Un-refurbished usually go for between $250 - $400 depending on how motivated the seller is to move the rifle.

Nothing wrong with refurb rifles. Pretty rare now to get a lemon.

If appearance is a biggie, take your time and ask for pictures. For what Ki11ercane and Tradex are selling them for, you won't be getting a hand picked rifle. You can count on it being in "excellent refurbished condition" - Mechanically sound, force matched components, a good solid shooter. The kind of rifle you can chuck behind the seat of your truck and not feel bad about rubbing the paint off =)

Ya but his sale ends tonight!!! Also would it best to get a PLA rifle or a refurb Russian? This will be used for small game and plinking using cheap sup ammo, probably corrosive, another reason I'm stuck on getting a Chinese sks for the chrome barrel

I bought my SKS/ammo from ki11ercane. I bought it and picked it up in person from his store in Winnipeg. I would have no problem dealing with him again and in fact I plan to go back to him for my next crate of surplus ammo. The rifle I got was your typical russian refurb job. The upper hand guard and lower stock don't quite match 100% in terms of color. Bolt carrier is black, not shiney like some you see. Bayonet is painted in a cheap looking grey silver paint. The stock definitely does not fit that tightly on the receiver/barrel assy. I've blown 400 rounds of the corrosive surplus through it with no issues. I didn't have to clean the rifle I got from him right after I bought it, I just bought it, put ammo in it and took it out shooting. Zero issues with the gun and accuracy is exactly what you'd expect out of any sks.

Now is the refurbed russian sks better then the chinese military style 56 ones, with all matching numbers?

The Chinese rifle is new. The Russian is not. Most of the refurb Russians have chrome bores (standard after 1950 or '51, can't remember) just like the Chinese.

If you are wavering on the over all condition, buy the Chinese. You aren't splitting hairs on sub MOA high dollar bolt guns - it's an SKS. If you don't like the first one, buy six more, or walk away and sell it.

+1 For Killercane...

Recently bought a Russian SKS pkg from him with a tapco stock, 300 rounds, scope, bipod............great deal, the gun was in awesome shape....chrome lined bore and all.

Excellent customer service as well.

Check out his deals in the dealer section....can't go wrong.

For the price, you will be happy with it. Do yourself a favor if you're thinking of modding it, shoot it for a while before you think of spending money of aftermarket stocks and such. See too many accessorized sks's in the for sale section.
