I have a stainless/laminate 10/22 that I bought a month and a half ago, and i have a cheapo simmons .22 scope on it. My problem is that it is shooting way left, so far in fact, that I have run out of adjustment and it still hits 3-5inches to the left at 80-100ish yards! Looking at the weaver mount, it appears to be square with the barrell, and I have a pretty good eye for square.
I tried the open sights, and they are quite possibly the worst sights that I have tried on a rifle to date. I only have one other scope and it is dialed in nicely right now so I would rather not take it off to test if it is the scope. I am really hoping that I am missing something glaringly obvious and noob-like, I can live with the embarrassment, I can't live with the 10/22 open sights!! :bangHead:

thank you in advance

If you can, replace the dovetail mount with a Weaver or Picatinny type mount, then use some good rings, possibly Millett Angle-Loc (adjustable for windage).

At this point, I think it could be the el-cheapo scope you mentioned. Try a different scope to see if the previous one is damaged or defective.

Edit-- it appears you have a Weaver mount on it already. How tight are the screws?

thanks, I was kind of thinking that might be the case, and now I might have and excuse to go buy more stuff! lol
