Can you Modify your Norinco M14s Stock ??

Has anyone out there had any success in trying to modify there Synthetic Norc/Poly stock? I have been looking at getting a Magpul Pistol grip, and I did'nt know if it would attach properly and look somewhat like a factory Pistol grip stock, once it was attached?

Has anyone had any luck in attaching a pistol grip on a M14, and making it look nice?

Or is it pretty much a lost cause, and the only way to get a pistol grip stock is to spend the big bucks and buy a brand new stock?
 
Just search through the m1/m14 picture thread in the pics forum, should give you hundreds of pages of ideas.
As for specifically how to do it, I'm not sure but there are a lot of M16 stock mods out there without having to buy a chassis.
 
Ya, I found pistol grip kits for 870 shotguns, and lots of pistol grips that attach to pre existiing M16 rifles, but I have looked long and hard for someone with a Chinese Factory Stock with a pistol grip attached to it.

I would really like to see it done, and know what to use before I hack into one and potentially destroy it.
 
Jamie and I have successfully attached a S&J hardware services ar15 to 870 adaptor to synthetic stocks

The reason I wanted to know if someone has attached a pistol grip succesfully is because I wanted to know if there is a less expensive option of getting a pistol grip stock? I have noticed that for under $50, you can get a Magpul pistol grip.

Is the S&J hardware pistol grip in that price range? From one website I looked at, it seemed to be in the $400 range. At that price, I would probably just spend the extra money and buy a whole pistol grip stock.

Has anyone succesfully attached a Magpul, Tapco, or some other type of Pistol Grip onto a M14 ? Is it possible ?

It sure would be nice to find an affordable, black pistol grip, and retrofit it onto a Norc synthetic stock.
 
contact badboybeeson himself to order it minus the rail, its about 100$+ price of grip and adjustable stock, you can put any ar-15 furniture, I used a commercial size tube

Zyetel suck's for mod'ing & the chinese wood suck's also. But if you do please post back and tell us how long it lasted. Verry interested to see how long it will last and what you came up with.

I think you are looking for a USGI "fibreglass" stock or a Boyd's walnut for modifications. The materials are denser and easier to latch bolts/bond glue to add-ons. The Polytech stock is just plastic that can crack/break along seams if you cut into it.

I personally wouldn't ruin a vintage USGI fibreglass stock by adding on pistol grip, but hey, that's just me.

It attaches to the adaptor which itself is attached to the stock.
It was Jamie's idea to make a steel box for the adaptor to hold on, the box being held by a crossbolt.

Can't tell if it is sturdy, mine has never shot since I finished my mod, m14doc has had my rifle. Jamie posted videos of him shooting his shorty, just find more posts by him
