Bold. I think the fellow who pointed out the tag for another company had it right. Poor way of advertising. I've never dealt with either company but I really like how Marstar handled this soft spoken individual

Well they are a big firearm retailer up here.

Still never dealt with a firearm company that emailed me back off a blackberry. Looking forward to the day. Maybe I could add them on bbm? That would be shweeeeeeeeeeet

and a big WTF to the studying comment

oops, sorry about that,

don't we all study our whole life?

:D

I stopped learning years ago :p

Where did you get this idea about Marstar?

I know you are still studying but let me tell you that if you don't answer your email or ignore them in a big corporation (white color workers), you are f**ked.

email/internal mailing system/ordering system/meetings/blackberry, you name it

Just for interest sake what's a "white color worker"?

Does everybody that says something nice about Marstar get a free sling or cleaning kit on their next order or something? :D

You mean you haven't gotten your free "good comment in a troll thread" sling from Marstar yet? If even has "Good Comment in a Troll Thread" embroidered on it... Cleaning kits are for people who start new threads about how Marstar's service is the best. </sarcasm>

Don't know how others have been treated, but all I can relate to others is how I have been treated. I received what I paid for, in a relatively decent amount of time (considering the Bantario CFOs glacial slowness).

I'll disagree with you Hammer. Customers are the reason you are in business. The guy that thinks opening boxes and cleaning the lunchroom is more important than serving customers is on borrowed time.

I'll disagree with you... Profit is the reason people are in business. Without profit, there is no point in being in business. Yes, you need customers, fair prices, decent customer service, a good product, advertising, marketing, staff, methods of communication... But profit drives it all.

They need to open the boxes to sell, and ship, what's in the boxes. Moving your product out the door is just as important as talking to your customers. Sitting on the phone, being the nicest guy in the world, won't matter worth a crap if people aren't getting what they're paying for... And the work isn't going to do itself. Shipping's even more important than answering stupid questions that shouldn't have been asked in the first place.

As far as I know, the firearms business is a sellers market in Canada - at least from where I sit in Bantario. There aren't that many dealers/retailers, and there are plenty of customers.

And anybody that's been in business knows that some customers aren't even worth the sigh they induce when they rear their ugly heads.

Why not? just put it into an angle if it doesn't have a scope or just fold the stock (maybe it's the folding stock version and he hasn't realized it - or just buy a folding stock so it does fit :D), or just drill a hole for the muzzle to stick out a bit.

:stirthepot2::D

Did you not read the specs on the rifles? The OP stated that it was a folding stock CZ.

"Marstar is not even answering most of the questions on his own forum, so what do you think happens to email?"

May I ask what the hell you are talking about ?? We reply on the forum, time allowing, to the majority of the questions....

"- you are shafting other dealers for tens of thousands of dollars at a pop! They are losing time AND money dealing with you."

Since you know so much about what is going on, I would invite you to put up or apologize....

This, in case you are not aware, is libelous, I will take very serious action to protect our company's reputation....

I expect a complete reply with your information about these alledged "shafting" of dealers....

John

I put this post up in the M4 forum.

"maybe we all need to lighten up and keep everything in perspective.

am I totally impressed with Marstar?

no.

am I totally impressed with ANY outfit?

not really.

is John a prophet, out to bring us salvation, or a businessman out to make a buck?

make a buck.... unless he's offering redemption through automatic weapons....

in the meantime, he'll make some people happy, p!ss others off, etc.

we're the customers- ultimately, we talk with our dollars, and that's what matters.

if Marstar's got what we want, preordering or not, great. if not, we go elsewhere.

and the fact that Marstar's doing well... guess it means on the most part, people keep coming back.

end of story. "

As John pointed out, prophet should have been spelled profit.

Lighten up folks. Some little things are going to fall through the cracks- it's just hard not to be p*ssed off when it's your little things.

If Marstar wasn't satisfying the majority of its customers , it wouldn't be in business. 'nuff said.

Edit: but as John pointed out earlier in this thread, Gunnutz, and retail, are a pretty small part of his business. So, that should also tell us where he'll focus his efforts.
