Mossberg Tactical .22

Since you'll probably put rounds through her before I'll put rounds through ours, please do us a favour and report back on it's reliability and what ammo it prefers.

Thks!

The type of rounds will be Winchester 36 gr plated Hollow point 1280 fps for now as I picked up a bunch on sale. Will try out CCI blazers also when I pick up a few boxes in a week or two. I will post about reliability once I have had it out at the range.

ordered one aswell I just shouldn't go on this site it costs me I just got to try one will give a function and operation report as soon as I get my paws on it .

Hey guys, Just an update about the new Mossberg tac 22.

I was at P and D in edmonton today and handled the Mossberg.
The gun is basically a mossberg 702 plinkster as previously said, but it is wrapped in a PLASTIC AR style casing. The one thing that P and D was telling me gives it the non-rest. status is that the chambering mechanism that you would pull back on the AR-15 does not actually move what-so-ever on the Mossberg. It is a solid piece of plastic incasing a standard 702. with the chambering lever in the side similar to the Ruger.

Nice looking gun but as soon as I saw the gun and held it on my hands it seemed so cheap and worthless. There is clearly a reason that it is half the price of the Ruger SR22
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.
Nice because it is light, BUT I would much rather have the weight of the SR22.
If you are planning on blind ordering with out handling, I think you might be a little disapionted.
Sorry.

I'm only looking for a cheap, cool looking can puncher.
I know I'll put mine to good use and have lots of fun with it!!!
Plinksters have a good rep. and so does Mossberg on the whole.
I'm not expecting much, so I know I wouldn't be disappointed with my purchase. w:h:
Some times we just loose track that at the end of the day....there still all just .22 cal rifles (no matter how expensive the shell is on the outside) ;) :D

Hey at half the price of my VTR 297 and looking way cooler I will be happy as long as it functions and looks cool, im not expecting miracles from this gun but for 300$ its allowing me to sell my VTR 597 get a m14 and hopefully still have a little money left to help pay for this one

Does anyone know if this requires allen keys for takedown like my VTR 597? Pkease tell me it doesnt so im not regretting spend 330 on it.
