I don't understand y they would want to remove it? People are scared of a challenge I think lol.
The stages don't have to be scrapped, just re-shot and re-calculated without the Virginia count rules/penalties for extra shoots.
I've seen more than a few shooters pile up on the standards...
Personally I feel they should just practice it a bit more so they don't pile up. Eliminating a challenge because of it's difficulty just dums down the whole IMO
The problem is that some people are classified, but they've only shot VC classifiers. So now, all of a sudden they're unclassified because they need to reshoot (and repay) for the classifiers they already shot?
I realize it's only a few bucks, but getting things to the point where they were able to shoot those classifiers to begin with was enough of a hassle.
This proposal will not affect the ICS process but any fixed time, virginia count stages within ICS will have to be removed from the calculations
I'm still conducting research but, if VC goes, then Classifiers which use currently VC will either go or be changed to Comstock, in which case previous scores will be deleted. And if all the things listed disappear, it will be across the board.
Well, from the GV...
Paul Hyland suggests:
and Vince Pinto responds with:
As far as ICS goes, if all you've shot are the VC stages, and the previous scores are deleted, then you have no more ICS classifiers on your record. I would think that means you're now unclassified as your classification is based on the top 4 of your 8 most recent classifiers.
Our section (IPSCBC) classification will be untouched, but ICS classification (which is the only classification system recognized at the Nationals) is a big problem.
