Deer with double antlers? (56k go away :-P)

That huge drop tine on the deer's right side is hideous. I usually like non-typical antlers with drop tines but not when they look like a big tumor on the deer's face.
 
iv sseen those pics befor apparently it just hangs out in city limits in colorado i believe
 
I've heard that deer with abnormally huge non-typical growth are caused by being casturated or born without testicles...apparently they never shed and are not eligable for record books.

Neat set of antlers on him tho!!
 
Castrated bucks grow thick stumpy antlers and are referred to a "cactus bucks" Nothing like the one in these pictures. It is true that some deer with malformed testes have abnormal antlers and never shed the velvet. This guy looks quite normal for the time of year. Compared to the other buck in the photos he appears to be at the same stage of antler growth and the velvet looks healthy. If I had to guess I would say he is probably just an interesting non typical. I would shoot him!
