Castrated bucks grow thick stumpy antlers and are referred to a "cactus bucks" Nothing like the one in these pictures. It is true that some deer with malformed testes have abnormal antlers and never shed the velvet. This guy looks quite normal for the time of year. Compared to the other buck in the photos he appears to be at the same stage of antler growth and the velvet looks healthy. If I had to guess I would say he is probably just an interesting non typical. I would shoot him!
