Time to Delete! Thanks

Well we will have to see what happens with the Angus's new bill before we start counting on this thing as a hunting rifle. LOL

I do see your point though, but for me $2500 on a hunting rifle is not in my near future.

$2500 for a range toy is OK for me as I go at least once a week, but I also like to shoot alot, and .308 is no good for me!

To each his own though!

Just to bad the SU16, and the Sub 2000 seem to fail in comparison! I have handled both, and it is hard to justify the kind of prices, that seem to be coming.

Non restricted 9mm does sound like fun though. But Epps should be selling the JR carbines soon enough with a non restricted barrel. AR style gun with glock mags! It will all come down to price, but it seems like a much better built gun.

With 7.62 X 51 opening the door is pointless :p

I was planning on getting a M14 but since it's taking so long for the shipment to come, I'll move some of my dollars over to the RFB. I can't wait for it to arrive. Hopefully Vault will provide a list of the dealers soon.

Yep - plus the M14 is a long awkward clunky bugger. Had one, played with it a bit, sold it.

If I get this it'll be a bush gun for sure. Maybe a bit heavier than my current bush gun, but it's also S/A and looks cool. It's a pity the price range is higher, but that's the fact of it - we have two very anti-gun borders back to back with equally anti-gun legislation and bureaucrats controlling it, so any cross-border business is going to cost the companies an arm and a leg to navigate the legal hassles.

Has anyone here fired it? How accurate is it?

So is it just me or does it look like a beast to fire accurately in the standing position ?:ar15:

My feeling is that it is a 2-3MOA rifle with run of the mill ammo, based on reading of the reports out there. Granted, there are only 800 or so rifles out of the factory door.

I don't think I will be buying one with the intention of setting it up as a precision rifle. It is going to be a fun blaster, but for precision work there are better and proven choices outthere.

Sub moa from reviews. 3/4 seems to be normal with match ammo. One thing it really has going for it is the 1:11.25 Twist rate.

Yup about 2-3 moa with surplus from my reading as well. That being said I have no intentions of running surplus ammo. Besides I only have about two packs of 7.62 surplus left anyways.

What with factory hunting ammo?

Not hunting ammo for 3/4 moa (Federal Gold 168 grain). I would however venture to guess based on my previous experience with 1:11.25 twist rifles that 165 Fusion hunting ammo will shoot close to 3/4 moa or in the RFB slightly larger. There is also 170 and 180 in Fusion ammo to try.

One last thing for accuracy. The reports we've had are from the American rifles. Ours are very slightly longer, but also slightly thicker barrels and they are chambered for .308 so we might be able to get a little more accuracy out of them compared to the US version if we're lucky. Looking forward to finding out.
