WOW - this post is still running. ( Dr.Lector ) any update on Joe's 10/22 projects or news on any other future projects of any kind?
No new types of production receivers in the near future.
Only few special purpose receivers and that's about it.
Maybe some trigger group pins for the
people who are complaining they cannot finish their builds.
I will also try to convince them to make v-blocks.
An adjustable V-block might be something Dlask should look at making too. Simple part to make... Or, a thicker one like the one TacSol does may be more robust. Maybe a set of 3 with different thicknesses.
As I said above, I hope a v-block with set screw
will be on the books shortly.
No, I guess they are supplying them?
As above. Dlask does not supply v-bloks yet.
They may make some in the future.
I asked around, your barrel was matched to the receiver
but you have to put the v-block/screws yourself.
By this time, you probably have it already in your hands.
There are a few small additions to that flat top receiver I would love to see in order to make it a better long range platform.
-Threaded barrel channel (can also take slip fit barrels)
Threaded OR slip-fit (not “also”).
What you say is a good idea, some manufacturers
had a shot at it, but Dlask would have very little
request for that kind of product (dual thread/slip-fit).
-Integrated rear tang (so that the barrel can be free floated)
................................
A rounded tang that goes the height of the receiver would be better though. Then the stock could just be inletted quickly for it with an end-mill.
Maybe in the future. I was thinking the same thing and I have
pushed for the same type of tang at the top of the receiver rear.
I may be able to suggest, but I don't call these shots.
Meanwhile, I will have to use a “bolt-on” rear tang.
However, if you want to free-float the barrel, then I
strongly recommend the threaded barrel instead of
the slip-fit solution.
-Canted extended scope mounts with alignment dowel pins (20 and 30 MOA)
I will talk to them again about the canted feature.
While the dowel pins are very interesting as a concept,
I do not think it will fly now as a Dlask production item.
If and when you have time, please elaborate
a little on the idea of these alignment pins.
Location? Jig? Pin captive in the receiver or in the rail?
Compatible with the thin meat in the factory receiver?
Kombayotch, please do not read negativity in my answers.
Your ideas and proposals make sense regarding
the technical possibilities and some of the necessities,
but the production schedule
would allow only a limited number of new items.
I will try to do what I can.
