10/22 Custom Receivers

I recently saw a 10/22 reciever with an AR style charging handle ..

i cannot for the life of me rememeber the company name or where i saw it ..

all i know is that i want it

You mean the tactical innovations CH22 you posted about? Someone really needs to bring that into canada

I'm also ordering the following:

Volquartsen Ruger 10/22 TG2000 trigger group
Hogue Ruger 10/22 Overmold Stock - Heavy Barrel
Volquartsen Ruger 10/22 Bolt Recoil Buffer
Volquartsen CNC Machined Bolt Assembly
Volquartsen 10/22 V-Locking Block

Is there anything I'm missing?

Just went through this, you will also need the 2 pins that hold the trigger group to the reciever, and a charging handle/rod/spring for the bolt assy, and the takedown screw/bolt that holds the stock to the reciever assy.
You will love the VQ trigger group, it's like comparing a tractor to a Porsche.
I just built basically the same gun (used a Kidd bolt assy.) and it's like night and day, you'll be very happy.

The charging handle/rod/spring comes with the vq bolt. Where do I get the pins though?

WOW - this post is still running. ( Dr.Lector ) any update on Joe's 10/22 projects or news on any other future projects of any kind?

PS.. The word is --- If you don't buy any 10/22 parts from Dlask Arms your #### will fall off  ;)

Does anyone know of a good Canadian supplier for 10/22 parts, I ordered a couple 80% receivers (ruger1022receiver.com) and want to buy a trigger assembly and v block, I can get them from the US easy enough, but would buy Canadian if possible.

Mysticplayer, the short answer is yes, the Dlask receivers
have the inside pocket narrower.
DlaskCo will fit customer's bolt, barrel, whatever in their receivers free of charge.

The long answer may be boring for some people here.

Please let me ask you this:
What kind of bolt do you intend to use? What brand?

I will answer the rest of the questions shortly.

Well how is the fit on a KID bolt?

Here we go again, the short answer and the long answer  Are we worth? Why don't you say the whole story?

:slap:

The good Doctor doesn't work for you doofus. If you don't like the answer, crack a book and learn it yourself. And there is no long story; just the short one - yes it fits.

You should have more tact, and respect for that matter, for a fellow CGN'er whose doing you a favour by sharing information he's learned.

Ok, no need for violence. Believe me, sometimes you have to really push Lector to make him say everything he knows.

No worries amigo, I thought it was a funny pic but my sense of ha ha is not always shared by others. You have my heart felt apologies. I definately need to learn to more attentive and respectful to the sensitivities of others.

Please enjoy these non-violent pics...

** this last one may seem violent, but she's a crack sniper for the RCMP ERT team in Northern Alberta ensuring the safety of all Canadians, so its all good;)

No new types of production receivers in the near future.
Only few special purpose receivers and that's about it.
Maybe some trigger group pins for the
people who are complaining they cannot finish their builds.
I will also try to convince them to make v-blocks.

An adjustable V-block might be something Dlask should look at making too. Simple part to make... Or, a thicker one like the one TacSol does may be more robust. Maybe a set of 3 with different thicknesses.
As I said above, I hope a v-block with set screw
will be on the books shortly.

No, I guess they are supplying them?
As above. Dlask does not supply v-bloks yet.
They may make some in the future.
I asked around, your barrel was matched to the receiver
but you have to put the v-block/screws yourself.
By this time, you probably have it already in your hands.

There are a few small additions to that flat top receiver I would love to see in order to make it a better long range platform.

-Threaded barrel channel (can also take slip fit barrels)

Threaded OR slip-fit (not “also”).
What you say is a good idea, some manufacturers
had a shot at it, but Dlask would have very little
request for that kind of product (dual thread/slip-fit).

-Integrated rear tang (so that the barrel can be free floated)
................................
A rounded tang that goes the height of the receiver would be better though. Then the stock could just be inletted quickly for it with an end-mill.
Maybe in the future. I was thinking the same thing and I have
pushed for the same type of tang at the top of the receiver rear.
I may be able to suggest, but I don't call these shots.
Meanwhile, I will have to use a “bolt-on” rear tang.
However, if you want to free-float the barrel, then I
strongly recommend the threaded barrel instead of
the slip-fit solution.

-Canted extended scope mounts with alignment dowel pins (20 and 30 MOA)
I will talk to them again about the canted feature.

While the dowel pins are very interesting as a concept,
I do not think it will fly now as a Dlask production item.
If and when you have time, please elaborate
a little on the idea of these alignment pins.
Location? Jig? Pin captive in the receiver or in the rail?
Compatible with the thin meat in the factory receiver?

Kombayotch, please do not read negativity in my answers.
Your ideas and proposals make sense regarding
the technical possibilities and some of the necessities,
but the production schedule
would allow only a limited number of new items.
I will try to do what I can.
