Ontario Test Return times?

And yet another two days

Some of us have been waiting for (much) more than 28 days. See this timeline:

Exam dates (Ottawa, RA Centre: 02-03 october.)
My PAL application was online at the CFC 24sep.
Still waiting for CFO stamp (which CFO advised me was mailed out on Friday the 12th, of November).

Calendar
Today = Mon 22nd
Date my application shown as received online = 24sep
Tests nr and r-pal passed = 02-03oct

CFO tells me my papers (stamped results) mailed on Friday the 12th.

Date my CFSC test results received stamped from CFO ON: 18 Nov

Date my CRFSC test results received stamped from CFO ON: ?? ??? (sometime next week, 22 to 26 Nov?)

Monday 22nd - 24 Sep (application received and online) = 59 days ago
Monday 22nd - 03 oct (exams passed) = 49 days ago

My 28 days started on the 24th of Sept. It's 59 days on Monday (twice 28 and then some)

Ohh Yea I remember.

My instructor said he was sending it in near the end of october because he was going hunting in BC.

I did my tests oct 2 but he sent them in late october, when do you think ill receive them?
 
Oh but I did............contact the Ombudsman.

,,,,,,,,,,,,, and they called me back a week later explaining that it was the hunting season and that the CFO was swamped.
When I asked why didn't they prepare for the swamping of the hunting Season which comes around every single year at the same time (we're not using the Lunar Calendar) she said I should complain to the Minister. Passing the buck (pun intended). Very polite but a stonewall. I thanked her before I started losing my temper.
 
My girlfriend passed her CFSC course on Oct 16/17, and from the looks of some posts in this thread things are taking an incredibly long time. She has already sent her PAL application in and is just waiting on the test return now. Any idea if she can expect to get it before Christmas or should I go back to the drawing board for gift ideas?

Based on what I am seeing here, Christmas is pretty optimistic. Perhaps have a plan B ready... but no small appliances!!! (Trust me...lol)

I thought you were supposed to get the test back first before sending in your PAL application?

To save time in Ontario it has become fairly common practice to send the application in without the results then to send the test results in once they arrive. This is due to the 6 week+ waits people are experiencing to receive their test results back and it allows your 28 day cooldown period to finish.

today - 24 sep (application received and online) = 56 days
today - 03 oct (exams passed) = 47 days

My 28 days started on the 24th of Sept. It's 56 days today (twice 28)

I also did my test Oct 2, I just didnt mail in application untill last week.
Im on the same boat as you bud.

I really think we're going to get them this week.

I did also, I even called in but the lady said wait for your results.

After 4 weeks I had enough I mailed it in with a post-it note saying test results to follow.

I called a couple days after and told a different lady the situation she said whenever your application appears online you will get an application number when you mail in the test results be sure to include that number.

If I knew it was that simple Id send my results nuch earlier than I have.

I believe you will get it intime for christmas.

If anything register it to your name and after she receivers her license you can transfer it over the phone. With or without her knowing.

I called in before mailing off my incomplete application and she said it was fine. I got a letter about 3 weeks later saying I have until Jan 31st, 2011 to mail in my test results.

Im going to fax them in with that letter I got so it has my application number. I just hope the bloody CFO in Ontario will get my results shipped back to me before Jan 31st lol.

The most important date is the date shown on the cfc (RCMP) site showing your application number and date received by them (not date posted but actually received) that's when your mandatory 28 days begin.

The second important ones are:
--- date CFO receives your exam results.
--- date the CFO mails them to you (mine were received by them five days apart even though all my exams were done and passed on the 3rd of October.)
--- date you receive them and immediately fax them to them.......

A couple of days later call to check that they did indeed receive the fax and, innocently propose that, "while I've got you on the line and while you have ALL my papers, why don't we save time and get my interview done? And, as long as we're in this mood, what extension shall I ask my references to call for their Interviews?"

Magnum PE received all his papers first
(I'm talking about the three-way race for the self-confessed three Ontarians who passed their exams on the 3rd of October.)

I received ONLY my Non-restricted stamped results second and still waiting for my CRFSC stamped results, which were received by the CFO five days after they received my CFSC

Now Pistolwhiptricks receives ALL his papers, which nudges me off the silver-medal podium to the bronze medal position.

Good on you both Gold and Silver medalists. I'm still waiting.......:cheers:
