Canadian Forces Special Run 1911 - NOT PARA

Greetings,

As a newly minted member of the CF my interest will be highly contingent on price. I took a large paycut from being a truck driver to being an Ordinary Seaman so a high end 1911 in the couple of thousand dollars range is completely unrealistic.

I applaud your idea, but a high end may make it out of reach for current and retired CF folks. We are not all Officers making good coin. Some of us are young and have families to raise. (Not me specifically, but some) And I am sure some of the retired members are living on a fixed income and extras such as this could be beyond there means.

What makes this special is the offer of it only to current and retired CF members, not the high end price tag. Anyone can spend thousands of dollars on a 1911. Not everyone could get one of these regardless of price.

If it is reasonably priced, tastefully appointed, and from a reliable manufacturer that says more to me than the "look at me and what I spent" school of thought.

I know I may be speaking for a small group of folks, but I think that these ideas need a voice as well.

Good luck with your project and I hope it succeeds beyond your wildest imgination.

The manufacture will be SVI
45ACP Single Stack in SS
Trijicon Adj Night Sights
Service Number Serial Numbers - Waiting to confirm
Maple Leaf and Canadian Forces Roll Marks.
No Aghanistan markings.

Pricing to be determined. I will not say anything because I want to avoid the "he saids". Once the final design is done I will post the "actual" price to avoid confusion or hard feelings.

It will be open to current and retired members of the CF only. No PM's for exceptions, kinda sick of it. It only takes away on what this special project is.

I am letting SVI have a little lee way on coming up with something. I am sure they can do something great for us. They will send me some proofs and I will post here for some feedback before the final ok.

I realize that this pistol is going to cost some coin and some people will not be able to afford this. If one firearm is going to have my Service Number on it, it has to be something high end. I do not intend to please everyone, look how many different opionions have already been posted.

For the people who have had concerns about price, I know PARA is still willing to continue this. Someone needs to head it though, Im not sure if Words Twice is doing it anymore. Cheap didt work out so well last time lol as a few members on the board can vouch for this.

This program is what it is, no one is forcing you to make a purchase. If you like to be apart of this unique opportunity by all means.

This is going to be one hell of a gun that I am gonna be proud to pass on to my kids.

Your wrong, that deal is still being offered by PARA as I have contacted them. You cant compare SVI to PARA.

This is indeed good news. STI make excellent guns (I own three of them) and their reputation is solid. The folks I've dealt with at STI customer service are very helpful and go out of their way to ensure your problem is solved. Cheers,

I guess I will have to save some serious coin... If we get 2 diffenrent guns... an entry level and a high end....

Hahahaha... Make your way to the Para forum ... and tell me who dosent have something wrong !!! and I never said my Para didnt function, Ive put 300 rounds thru her allready without 1 malfunction... I said there QC sucks balls and the gun is a cheap POS...

This is getting better all the time....I am looking forward to see how this all works out....Too bad I cant afford both versions....lol....keep up the excellent work guys!!
