Benelli worth the HYPE!!!!

And you can have it.

I went to Bass Pro to buy a Benelli when they were on sale. because they had sold out of the Benelli stuff i was offered a Beretta for a sale price. I thought is was a good deal, until I used it in the rain.WONT CYCLE IN RAIN. What kind of shotgun is that. I have since seen two more Extremas, and a Urika do the same. I wish I had held out for a Black eagle.

never come across that.. used mine in torrential rain plenty of times.. been submerged in salt water.. muddied.. even used it as a paddle when the outboard died on us while we were heading up a river ..

all that and it shoots softer than the benelli

My own personal opinion!? Repost this thread in 60 - 70 years and tell us then how they stand up. If they last as well as a model 12 or A-5 I will give them my endorsement but tupperware, alloy and riveted guns don't get my nod so far.:p

Oh Sh*t here we go, "they stopped making good products 50 years ago". "I used to walk to school uphill barefoot, both ways".

In fifty years, we'll be blasting ducks and geese with lasers anyway.

Your model 12 and A5 are timeless, but many modern firearms are built just as well, and will stand the test of time.

I have Benellis and while I think they are overhyped, they are very good guns. When you buy your first one and take it apart, you'll be amazed at how simply they operate but then you'll be asking yourself why they cost so much. The best answer is marketing!

sniper 26 99... It would be the greatest investment you will ever make.

I have owned many shotguns but dont use any of them anymore except for dust collection.

The Benelli SBE 12 GA is the #1 gun I always go to for many reasons.

A PM is necessary for the information Im about to give you. This info is not recomended to most viewers cause it may be too informative, and/ or intimidating to some, who may not understand all the virtues of the shotgun and would respond accordingly!.:D

i should close to 80k in my 1st M1 before i hade a major issue, $300i in parts an and i got another 40 k in it before i sold it for $650 the second owners still shoots in, a few 100rds a year.
my second m1 i shot about 40k then sold it.
I have 14k in my m2 tactial no issue so far.
Very well made guns, but i still use the Rem 870 when my life is on the line as it allways works 100% of the time no matter what the weather.

JUST DONT mess with the trigger. I did this and had huge issues. Dealer installed new trigger and the supersport has been flawless with thousands of rounds.
If there is one thing that has held me back on a Bernelli it is their typically awful trigger pulls. My Beretta semi-autos may not have the crispest triggers but both are 4lbs. Every Benelli I've shot had very hard triggers. :(

;)CB I have always respected your posts and have concidered you a friend here on CGN. But you have a lot to learn about Semi Auto Shotguns.
Your beloved Beretta Auto's may not have the "crispest triggers" because of to much "Plastic" in the trigger group. A definate result of modern cost cutting.
Now if you want a tried and trued Semi Auto with an all Steel trigger group. I "may" let you shoot one of my Win. SX-1's. But.. when you see how soft it shoots and how quiet it cycles, compared to an auto 5 or a 391 that sounds like a crane going through a parts bin.
The SX-1 cycles like an O/U. but that may be expected from the best Semi Auto ever made.
I have owned many semi auto's. Beretta 301's 303's 390's and 391's. Benelli SBE II's and Super Sports. Auto 5's by the dozens. But they all pale in comparison to the Win. SX-1.

LOL. I of course acknowledge the superiority of the SX1. There can be no doubt. ;)

But my now departed Beretta 390 had a steel trigger group and felt no different than the 391. Also Briley, Seminole, Angle-Port and other custom gunsmiths can improve the Beretta triggers almost to the point of being as nice as a Perazzi. Almost. :)

Or as nice as a properly tuned SX-1... That you don't even have to send away. :) Still debating whether to put tubes in the Mod. barrel. I hate Choke tubes.
