I was wondering if anyone has tried using more then one e-caller while hunting coyotes. I just ordered a second caller - Foxpro Fury - to try out this theory. I was thinking of running an animal distress sound with a second sound of coyote pups from a second caller or something along those lines, sort of create the feeling of depth at a stand. I know some callers can do this from one speaker but I thought it might sound even better from two callers. Thoughts?

The fury pays two sounds from two speakers aimed in different directions, I think it will create the depth you want with just the one caller.
Google "foxfade", you'll love it, and you have it.

Ok, as it sounds like nobody is trying this, I think I will give it a good old college go and see what happens - it may not do squat but I got to thinking about this when I was looking at the Prairie Blaster - louder must be better right? So why not more background noises? I am trying to raise the probability of calling in doubles/triples and I wonder if a pack will come together if they perceive a larger pack honing in on their territory. The only problem I see with having two sounds on one caller is that it won't sound as natural. I have noticed that when I am sitting in a stand I can hear coyotes in various directions and that is with my bad human ears. I am thinking if I can put some space so that the sounds are coming from 2 directions or even three I could raise a pack response. Does this sound out to lunch or what?

Ive been wanting to thin the coyotes here for awhile so Ive been looking at different hand calls and such but that foxfade things looks amazing.

** but way to much money after looking at the price

I think you may be missing what the Foxpro can do, For instance, I can play a stereo sound of a coyote (or pack of coyotes) tearing up a rabbit, the remote allows to to fade the rabbit or coyotes in our out of the sound from a distance. With both speakers going in different directions, and both speakers being very different compositions (cone versus horn) it is very easy to simulate that your sounds are coming from two very different areas.
Not only do you have to carry less but you don't have to have as much presence during the set-up.
I have used the caller in one location, and a hand call in another with no noticeable increase in activity.
Try it though, experimenting with new ideas is half the fun! Good luck and make some dead!

Definitely not cheap. For me the caller was a tax deduction, otherwise I may not have got one.
If you look around you can find factory refurbs for about half the cost.:)

Using hand calls in combination with an e-caller is a well established technique, so using a couple of e-callers together is not a stretch (though perhaps a handful to control, if you're not using something with Foxfade or similar).

Pyd: I am well aware of the Fox Fade feature. The issue is that the sound is still coming from one source. I currently use a JS PM-4 with mouth calls but I am only good at making distress noises on the mouth calls so frequently I run the PM-4 with coyote pups or coyote howls and then toot on the mouth calls to get a second sound going. The problem with doing this is that I am making the distress noise so the coyotes are frequently looking at me when they come in. I wanted to try to have a distress sound away from the second caller but not at me. If that doesn't pan out I was thinking an adult coyote sound on both with distress on my mouth calls. I want to increase my sound "footprint" Basically have 1x caller 100m to my right and 1x caller 100m to my left and see if that causes a larger reaction (oversimplification). I have no difficulty right now pulling in 1-2 coyotes to my stands but I want to see if I can get a pack to come and I am trying to find out what will cause a whole pack to run in on a stand, which I am guessing is a larger gang to rumble with. If I am wrong no biggie, it never hurts to have a backup caller... I am also going to try to play with adding a second speaker to the Fury from the JS to see if that changes things up.

Foxpro sometimes sends refurbs out to distributers,,but best bet is to get them from Foxpro..because thats where they are refurbed.

Pyd: I don't have the caller yet - it should be here today. I reviewed all the features and read the manual though. Not trying to sound belligerent.

The refurb that you are talking about is from Foxpro direct - Occasionally they will have callers warrantied and then they will refurb the defective caller. They aren't that much cheaper then new but Foxpro will usually throw in some extras - like extra sounds or carrying bag. You can see at the Foxpro Forum or at Predator Master Forum. Call Foxpro direct to find out current pricing...

I was surprised at how small of a company Foxpro actually is, it was actually a bit refreshing. Calling them may help find a refurb, I just can't seem to to find the link I once had.
Quick side note for Fury guys, I was in radio shack today getting some wire and stuff for my son, the battery housing in there fits the fury (8XAA), $5.

Your Fury will take 8AA's, and the charger is cheap enough to be affordable. Rechargeable batteries are a bit better for the high current drain stuff like this caller.
In the cold the best battery is Lithium, but not economical to buy. In the winter a good idea is to use one of those chemical hand warmers, put it against the battery compartment and let er rip!
Once you have the wall plug then any rechargeable cell will work, and with the extra battery holder from radio shack you are guaranteed not to run out of batteries.
The remote takes 3 AA's, I put the Energizer lithium in mine and the battery indicator has not moved from full since I owned it. I play with it all day, and most nights, not including when I hunt with it.
