Magpul Art Of The Dynamic Shotgun

I think the key to this series is that the instructors are informed, articulate and entertaining. I'm enjoying the series in pieces as I can never find enough time to watch it all.

To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement as I thought we wouldn't be getting this in Canada anytime soon. Pays to browse the EE. The DVD set is a nice option for guys like me who don't have the $/time for courses.

DVD's are not a substitute for real training...

I'm not sure why they take their firing hand off fire control to do a 2 slugs change over. Esp after they stated that you shouldn't take your firing hand off.

Inconsistent instruction from Magpul? I don't believe it...

No s**t. I'm hardly suggesting people watch a DVD and expect to be highly proficient with a shotgun  I suppose if I had wrote "it's a nice tool in the toolbox to pick up some techniques/ideas I wouldn't otherwise see because I simply don't have the cash/time for courses" that wouldn't made things more clear to you, in that I'm hardly advocating substituting a training video over real live training?

A buddy from work lent me the "art of tactical carbine" and I was bored as hell watching it. I kept walking away, and couldnt sit through any of the dvd's in their entirety.

I disagree. I've become so proficient with the Magpul DVD's that I don't need a gun. I can now kill multiple opponents with the DVD box and my beard.

If you are searching for the torrent on a torrent website (isohunt, piratebay, etc) searching for 'Magpul Dynamic Shotgun' wont work. Try 'Magpul Dynamics TAOTDS'.

It took me a while to figure that one out.

Excellent DVDs too BTW.

I once heard Chris Costa's beard dual wielded some .577 Trex guns.....

:) All jokes aside they do have some great info and tactics, I wonder how many mall cops this has inspired

I'm glad you've figured this out. Sadly the majority of those who bought their videos have not. You can't learn a technique by watching it, you need to get out and do it, more specifically take some professional training. Again, even if you observe and understand the technique you need to rationalize whether or not its a viable option for your intended shooting discipline and gear.

I run a full Costa Spec beard based off of Matt Mclatchy's beard out east. He's #1 in Magpul beard emulation techniques.

Ahh so. I'm diggin the Travis Haley look more though. Thinkin 'bout gettin rid of the beard, always getting caught in my TAD Stealth, bad for the CDI factor. You know how it is, priorities and such :D
