If your gear can't take a fall now and then, its crap.

What is the average turn around time for warranty issues?
Drop a Colt 1911 on the pavement see if it works. Is it crap? This from a guy in love with plastic guns? I would just rather use it as intended instead of playing soldier and dropping sh&t, and if it breaks from use then its crap. If it breaks from dropping it then its user error. Either way Vortex has an unconditional warranty even for people like you that sit there and drop sh&t all day long to see how good it is lol.
If your 1911 doesn't work after a drop, yes its crap. I've repeatedly dropped and thrown my Glocks to prove they're tough and reliable. Got a few scratches on them but who cares, its a tool not a mantle piece. The warranty on any product is only valid if the company exists and you survive to return it(provided you're using a product to safe life and limb). I'm all for warranties, but I won't buy cheap crap that can't handle light to moderate abuse even if it has a warranty. Warranty work is time consuming and a pain in the a$$.

Well I guess that's the problem isn't it? You throw yours, I shoot mine. Everything I have works just great for shooting, however maybe I should try throwing my stuff to see if it really serves the purpose I bought it for.Trolling is your only other hobby besides firearms isn't it TDC?
I shoot my guns, and its not from the bench under sunny skies at 20'c. If you use a tool long enough you're going to drop it, bang it, knock it over or otherwise subject it to less than ideal conditions. If you don't, or haven't then how can you honestly say the tool(s) you use are rugged and reliable?

I called One Shot Tactical and Brenda shipped me a new one that day

I've lived with a rifle next to me for what some people would consider a considerable amount of time, and can say that I've never dropped, "banged", or knocked it over. Never mind kicked or thrown it. You know that we have opposable thumbs, right?
Sounds like Vortex has a horrible, time consuming, warranty program![]()

So freezing, throwing, dropping, etc it light to moderate use? Cause Vortex products have been put through tests like these by people who own them and 99% of the time they are passing with flying colors.
Lived with and trained with are two different things. Like I said, I don'tr strive to drop or otherwise damage my gear but it happens.
I am not familiar with Aimpoint so I will refrain from comment. But to say that NO ONE has ever had a bad experience with Aim Point is a pretty bold statement and dammed impressive if anywhere near the truth.
Ok, well, I've done both then. Y'know, the more of your posts I read, the more I wonder just how many medical professionals are worried about your whereabouts.
