my norc m4 wont work with any aftermarket US made BCGs or 22 conv kits ?? they wont fit in the receiver it seems too tight ? I tried the same Us made BCG in my friends CQ and it fit fine WTF?? i guess mine is a out of spec??

I'm usually a #### with anything Norinco, but I'm going to mention that if you have an M16 firing pin installed in an early non shrouded firing pin carrier, (SP1) you will have problems.

Try an AR15 firing pin. The difference between the FPs is in the shoulder circumference. M16 FP have a wider shoulder and will hand up on the hammer.

I used to be a huge Norinco fan, but no longer for simple reasons like this. I tried fitting regular slim carbine handguards on mine and couldn't even after a ton of filing, because I realized the retaining ring behind the sight tower was too small.

Was it a Marstar Norinco M4 ? ;)
I remember he posted his were built to a higher standard. That's why they took a extra year to get here ;)
lol
I've had no problems with the one I got over a year ago from Arms East :D

its from lever arms from what i understand they are made at the same factory and the same production run as marstars new batch

I have a cmmg .22 conversion in my Nork M4 and it works just fine. 2 jams in the first 150 rounds not to shabby, just wait till its broke in then look out. I do find the mag is very tight in the mag well though.

I am happy with my conversion

your a clown buddy im sick of these AR fanboy armchair elitists who talk s**t and ridicule any person who starts a thread on a nork m4 ... yea i know a US made ARs are better i own many, BUT THEIR NOT $600.. if you dont have anything usefull to add dont comment...

I have the CMMG .22 kit in mine and it works fine, 2000 rnds no jams.today I went shooting with my buddy who has a DPMS and guess what... neither of us had any jams. I laugh at people who ride the brand name wagon like they are the smartest people because of what they bought. You guys are idiots. I swapped bolt and carrier , uppers, lowers and buffer springs and they all swap easily. I dont care what you buy you get lemons, remember all the Toyota recalls last year? And those are the most reliable vehicles made, how could that happen? Do you think your AR will outlast an SKS? Then again what does that matter? These forums should be about helping each other out and not being retards.

X2 ##### about them all you want but look what took first in cqb this year ;) or ask the guys who were at the OST level 2 rifle course and see which rifle performed flawlessly in the rain and mud while other big brand names were jamming.

When you said your gun wont except US made .22 kits because they wont fit in the receiver, did you mean a drop in .22 bolt like the CMMG or a complete upper? If the upper doesnt fit is it the take down pins that wont go through the holes in the US upper? When I swapped the DPMS upper with my norinco it fit easily to the Norinco lower but my upper was a tight fit going on the DPMS lower. The two holes for the take down pins were very tight to fit through the Norinco upper. This is super easy to fix, just ream the hole in the upper just a little.

i tried a CMMG 22 conv bolt , YHM bcg and a CMMG bcg none fit they wont go into battery and are way to tight in the receiver but they work fine on my friends norc m4 ??? the factory bcg works fine in the rifle i have over 500 rounds through it no hickups. other uppers and lowers fit fine no issues there. far as i know the only thing that is not interchangeable with other ARs is the front hand guard , mine must be out of wack a bit.

x2

My CMMG conversion works perfectly in my Norc. Did you try to slide it in without the charging handle just to see if that what was interfering with the fit?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy your Norc M4? I am looking at getting one, but I'm a little paranoid now about the CMMG conversion kit not working in it...

Is it that you simple can't get the BCG to even start to fit in the upper, or is it that you can't clsoe the upper? I had the latter issue with mine. Turned to be the gas tube was longer the a US spec tube; swapped it out, and I was off to the races.
