Best Norinco 1911 handgun

Ah frick! Do let me know if you have another one to sell, been half heartedly chasing after one of those for a while

I've had a few Norinco 1911's & never had a lemon, yet. While I like the 1911A1 .45ACP version as it's traditional, they have also done a nice job with their "compact" [commander] version as well.

And I do really like the NP-29 [1911A1] single stack in 9mm. Here's the one I've just sold:

Geeezzzz I don't seem saw this add in the EE, you sold it under the table:D

I want one more to make a pair but perfer all stock.

Trigun

got the 1911 sport (tuned by Armco), love the extended slide stop and front slide serrations, they are handy. the finish is pretty good (MUCH better than my NP-22)

dislike the extended mag release as it unscrews with each shot, and the ambi safety I can do without as well.

whichever you pick, buy some better quality mags for it, the stock ones can have problems.

PS anyone know how to disassemble the ambi safety? cant seem to find instructions/video for that

Just fired my 1911 Commander for the first time and LOVE IT!!!! Bought it from Ellwood for $379.00. There a little more than Badger or some other guy's but ive bought a few guns off Ellwood and had a gun repaired there, they treat me well so I go back to them. Im suprised how well mine shoots. Ive also fired a 5" Norinco with just a trigger job and good aftmkt mags and it shot great as well. I literally got home 2 hours ago. Put 50rds of reloads and Win white box through it with no misfires or feeding issues. Just a test after i cleaned it with different bullets. Its a little cold out. After another good clean I want to put a pile through it. I LOVE MY NORK!!!! Even stock its got a better trigger pull than my Glock 17. I say go for it, you won't be disappointed. I went for the Short Commander model because I loved spy stuff as a kid and saw WW2 O.S.S video's on t.v that showed training video's, They had original Colt Commanders. Bad Ass!!!! I'll get a 5" version some day. For now Im happy with this.

He's a mod. It probably got traded in a secret "eyes only" forum. Probably swapped for another ivory back-scratcher or something, while sipping brandy, lighting cigars with $2 Canadian Tire bills, and laughing about the "commoners" clamoring for Norincos on the ee.

I detailed stripped mine for the first time just the other day. Yes, the Norinco ambi is a little tricky. Basically I removed the left side (normal) safety as per normal. For the right side, I had to remove the grip panel so I could rotate the safety forward all the way to release the little dovetailed pin. Then it popped out fairly easy. Removing the grip was key.
