If CANADIAN soldiers would have had a choice what rifle CANADA adopted it sure as hell would not have been the AR that I know.
Do tell... What would be their preferred rifle?

, hehe...+1...That being said, perhaps this is what it comes to after hundreds of angry rednecks have abused your staff and yourself. It is hard to choose a side not knowing the whole story....

Well, first of all when I was in the forces in the 80's, we would train with American forces on joint excercises. The American's (who had M-16's) would drop ther "plastic" rifles on the ground in amazement when they saw our C1's. They loved the rifle and would ask us if they could hold our rifles to check them out.
They loved the C1's, the thing that's funny is, our guys weren't interested in their M-16's at all.. we felt like we had (for once) something better then the Americans...and we did.
But had we waited it could have been the XCR RIGHT GUYS ?
I did want to clarify: I was incorrect when I mentioned the Robinson XCR hadn't been fielded.
Apparently it has seen active deployment with one unit. My apologies for the oversight.

Wayne R. Sneedon, better known as Beachhead, is one of the many members of G.I. Joe that rarely shows his face in public. Beachhead comes equipped with an outrageous assortment of weapons including a tactical railed crossbow, a .45 1911 pistol, an XMLR-3A laser rifle and a Robinson Arms XCR(R) Short Barrel Rifle with folding stock.

I'm curious as to why if the 5.56 is such an awesome round that there is a push for rounds like the 6.8SPC to replace it?

The cheap little spring pins that hold the trigger parts in snapped and jamed yp the trigger mechanism. Simple fix, but one of the many design flaws that degrade it's reliability. What happened?

If it was why are they always trying to improve the round?
