The most reliable rifle you ever owned.

Win 70 push feed in 270 never missed a beat and killed lots of deer. Any ruger. My Weatherby's. With a few others my Weatherby's need nothing out of the box and have been 100% reliable.

Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mark I***; I have been shooting mine since 1966 and it still hasn't burped.

Best of all possible worlds: Ross Mark III (1910 action): fast operation, multiple lapped lugs, Mauser extractor, charger-loading, excellent iron sights, heavy barrel, Ross's own design of rifling and that wonderful patented roller-bearing trigger. Can't be beat..... AND it's Canadian, buttplate to muzzle.

Ruger Mini-30, for a gun that ate 1500+ rounds (Norinco surplus) without a single hic-up I have to give props to that gun. Reliability was no even a question, cleaned or not clean it just worked. Oh yeah it was very accurate as well.

Where do you start such a list. I'm in the camp of those who have hunted for many decades with a plethora of different rifles, and have never had one let me down. Eagleye.

In terms of Autoloaders, the only firearm with a perfect record is my P90.

It has never once had a failure to: Fire, Feed, or Eject. Not once. I have well over 3k rounds through the rifle now.

All my other autoloaders (AR, CZ-858, G-36, Tavor, M1 Garand, Just to name a few) always have the ocasional problem, some more then others, but the P90 is problem free as of yet.

Of course, the $3000 price tag prices it over some peoples heads, but thats life I guess.

Its been so many years of going to different genres of hunting rifles it is hard to narrow it down. Mausers have always been the staple but in the last four years I have been branching out and trying all different kinds.
Still my little 7 Mauser just keeps suprising me after getting more game than any of the others, it just plain works.
If only Grampa's No1 MkIII would shoot like that......

My Deerfield Ruger auto loader in 44 mag, good accuracy and never had a hiccup, most reliable semi i have... JP.

Same here... with the exception of Ruger. I had one jam on me when I was 13 and missed a chance at a 3X3 buck.

All others have worked without any problems including Remington 700, Tikka T3, Winchester push-feeds, Mauser K-98, Husqvarna 1640, Browning A-bolt and X-bolt, and I've had several other Rugers work fine also.

No question, my two oldest rifles:
My 1952 SKS -- 4400 rounds (mostly surplus) and not a single hiccup, accurate too!
My 1947 FN Mauser -- smooth, accurate and stone axe reliable.
