new canadian made 1911

It should be interesting to see how these compare to Dlask, the other Canadian maker of 1911s.

Have you seen the firearms of the Canadian gun owners on here? Some very expensive rigs out there.

Some guys are spending hundreds of dollars extra modding their firearms on tacticool goodies and such.

The money is out there is all I'm saying.

When I was shopping I passed up some expensive Kimbers / Springfields / etc.
for my affordable Norinco.

I love the Norinco - but if these have a good range report, I will save and buy one.

I realize they are expensive - but the quality looks great.

We need to support Canadian industry - not pass it off before seeing it.

I think they look very nice!

NAA.

If they make a commander length pistol I will buy it.

Nothing makes me happier than to see a Canadian firearms maker starting up. I will be happy to support them when they make a product I want... that being... the... well...... commander... yeah... :p

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I hear you. I'm certainly not comparing Canstar to Norinco. What I meant to say is, the average enthusiast still has to shop elsewhere if he or she wants an affordable quality product. Of course, production numbers versus sales has an impact on price.

I for one am all for supporting the locals. The more we do, the more they can afford to drop their prices (and sell more). Win-win!

To those saying that it's too expensive never bought something from STI. My stainless Target Master cost me over two grands. Their Legacy seems interesting. It will all come down to how tight they are and how good they shoot. I was about to ask Gunnar for a Trjan with a comp but for less money I might just buy the Legacy.

We'll see I guess...
