With the apparent doom of the Vltor - Fortis/Bren Ten project (or myth) on the horizon, who wants to sell me their minty D&D Bren? I'm sure there must be loads of them up here collecting dust in someones safe;). That being said they are probably going for "peanuts" as well:rolleyes:.

Has anyone ever come across one for sale up here?

Haters need not reply.

Plan on living on a sailboat, and drive a Ferrari replica to work? :D

Bren Ten...I bet those are expensive, if you can find one! I seem to recall one of the biggest complaints for original owners was lack of magazines available for them...guys waiting two years or more for a single mag...

Tanfoglio makes a pretty good substitute for the Bren Ten. Here is a comparison pic:

Curiosity's got me........what's one worth? Or at the least, what are they getting for them?

No on both counts, and my white jacket and pastel shirts have left the closet years ago ;)

5 in country, that sucks, :( if the other 4 guys are listening in on this, and are in need of cash PM please.

On a more likely happening, I was looking at the SIG X5 in 40 Short & Weak for a possible substitute. Still not a 10mm but it appears similar ( I haven't actually held one yet) Anyone have thoughts on these?

I have a bren 10, there is 5 in Canada. No you cant have mine. :D
I know of 3 other CGN members who also have one.

Sorry shelby, i edited your post by mistake. What is the model called, i cant see pics.

Probably referring to the EAA Witness. I have one, I'll have a detailed review up one of these days. Still haven't shot the thing after 2 months:(.

I can see them now too. I have the "Combat" model which looks much different up top. I prefer the look of that model though.

PS check your PMs jdman

All right, I will be the one to ask. What Tanfoglio model is that? I went through their site and nothing looks like the top gun in the pic. Or I'm blind, which is possible, too. Either way, more details would be appreciated.

EAA has some pretty poor reviews with apparently lots of frame and other parts failures reported from 45 and specifically 10mm pistols. Some guys have had good results with upgrading to heavier springs. Some have reported cracks after as few as 90 rounds of factory loads. Again, no hands on experience here, just what I've read.

This is something that the majority of 10mm pistols benefit from. The Witness is shipped with a 13 lb spring... The frame cracking issue also appears to be most prevelant within a certain serial number range.

Really? Only 5 Bren 10s in Canada? There's got to be more. Glad I have mine! There's at least 1 more in my area and I think there are more are in BC.... More than 5... got to be.
