Buying an RFB and reselling - what's fair?

Non-refundable? on a high demand item? That they are stocking?
That is pretty F'n Lame.

If it was a custom order, that would be different.

I would call my Credit card company an reverse the charges

Well, I don't blame them too much. They pay at least 3.5% on the sale to Visa/MC and then another 3.5% on a refund, so for a store to be out $15 for holding my $200 for a month hardly seems fair either.

Sell for whatever you can get. It's a sought after item so it's only fair that it goes to the person who wants it the most and is willing to show it by waiving his green. I would have said it was a douchebag move to be on both lists if you intended to sell the other one for a profit but that's not the case, so nothing wrong to make a buck for investing your money. It's no different than buying in the stockmarket.

what is the point of giving a deposit if you can just get it back because you change your mind? business doesnt work like that. you are lucky that p+d give store credit.

I'd post it at $3000 shipped and drop it $50/week until it sells.

That being said, If you want a tuned Norc M14s w/6 mags, a RC K98k and a Leupold Mark 4 MR/T, I'd be willing to work a trade out with you. :)

Its called Capitalism. Property is worth what someone else will pay. Would you feel guilty selling a house for 400k that you just bought a few months earlier for 350k? I know I wouldnt. Nobody would feel guilty buying the same house you paid 350K for six months later at 300k if the market dropped. AR-180B's now go for the 1300 to 1500 range due to the fact they are in demand and limited supply. Do some research into what members here have paid for real G36's! If you wanted to list the RFB at 3k there is no reason to feel bad, if someone wants to pay that its their choice, if its priced too high noone will buy it and you will drop your price until it sells. For the people that b*tch about the price, dont buy it, get on the waiting list and eventually your RFB will arrive at the retail price. I just got a new RFB havent fired it, and im looking at a trade for a Valmet m78. Not really looking to sell but Ive had several cash offers for ALOT more than i paid.

Its alot of trouble to order an RFB? I don't think you spent more then 5mins of your time doing this...

Sure people will buy it for an inflated price so they can get one sooner but IMO it still makes you a ####.

Your gonna be like all the other guys on the EE selling their "slightly used" Glocks or Norc 1911s with a $25 upgrade and asking more then retail new...

Ask what you want for it and if someone is willing to pay that amount so be it. IMHO it does not make any sense to pay a dime more than what the original owner paid as these are still CURRENTLY available to special order and are in CURRENT production with no end in sight. Get on the waiting list and have some patience don't waste your money by paying more then what it is worth. As soon as these come into Canada in more volume you will be sorry you paid more then $2399 plus tax when you go to try and sell it.

Who cares what someone thinks of you on an online forum. If you can make extra money for your effort go for it. If someone calls you a ####, tell them, "yes I am, now pay up or f%^k off."

Yup there is a sucker born every minute I guess. Ya I agree sell it for what the market will allow, get what you can the guys that just can't wait will spend.

Just remember to declare the additional income on your tax return under "gun running" as occupation ;-)

I would just sell your spot in line for what it cost you and maybe a 25 dollar Tims card. But that's just me.

Did I mention I have an extra 25 dollar Tims card???

You have several options when you come across an add with what you consider an "unfair" price in the EE.
A) Pay the price
B) Offer the person less money the worst they can do is say no
C) Waste your time and start a thread #####ing about the prices in the EE.
D) Move along and keep looking for a better deal (Patience)

Frankly I see alot of handguns for example in gunshops (no names) with god knows how many rounds through them that are priced nearly identicle to a brand new gun. I dont go up to the counter and ##### at the guy working there that his price is too high, I move along. Seems so simple.

Also a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush to some people. Waiting for guns to be imported when as we all know laws/policy can change over night, distributers can go out of business, equiptment can break down, contracts can be made causing production to be sent to other regions, currencies fluctuate, etc etc.

If you've got the cash for the deposits and can afford to pay the full prices of the guns when you get them go ahead good for you. If you cant sell the guns once you've got them hopefully you've got a place to store alot of overpriced pastic..

you get a 1 year standard manfacture warrenty this no warrenty bs isn't legal.. has to be stated befor purchase ect..

I agree but I asked the distributor named Vault and they told me the warranty is from Keltec.

I would buy the original posters $200 deposit spot if he wants to sell it
