Is "shoots further" an established way to judge the quality of a scope? How do you measure how far a scope can shoot?
And some say Corvettes can stand up to a Porsche
And some say por-cha can stand up to a Corvette?
With a tape measure - 100 footer should be enough.Is "shoots further" an established way to judge the quality of a scope? How do you measure how far a scope can shoot?
I too have heard the huskemaw is almost as good as a Leapers.
You know the world is going to poop when otherwise intelligent people will consider buying a knock-off of a knock-off. The chinese have us figured out - we'll buy an empty toilet paper tube and call it a scope as long as it's CHEAP.
CHEAP used to mean bad things when i was a kid. Cheap was what you called low-priced garbage that didn't work right and didn't last. Now days as long as the price is low enough we'll buy it... because we're CHEAP. All the internet and wireless communications devices sure don't seem to be making us any smarter.
warranty is important with a scope as they are hard to tear apart and fix with haywire.
My cousin who is extremely cheap bought a Bushnell in 1974 and last year it fogged up on him. I told him to throw it away and get a new variable scope as they have improved a lot in 35 yrs. But he sent it back to Bushnell and they repaired it, and so help me looking through it now is like looking at a new scope.
All at no charge, I couldn't believe it. All he does with it is shoot a deer for meat every year and for this use a $2000. scope would be of no advantage to him.

There is no hard "r" in the German language. The only people that pronounce a hard "r" in German are those who's mother tongue is English. Trust me on this.
The simplest way to explain the pronunciation is "PAW-SHU". If you don't believe me, I really don't care, as we're way off topic. Have a nice day.

Maybe hard r wasn't the right term. It was more 'guttural' (if that's the right term). She also mentioned there were two types of German spoken so maybe that has something to do with it. All I know is that her accent was thick enough to cut with a knife and she said that there was no 'a' or 'ah' on the end. Good enough for me.
