I used to own a normal blued Encore with .223 and 209x50 barrels. I then upgraded to a Pro Hunter with 30-06 and 209x50 barrels. I changed the 209x50 to a 25ACPx50. It works well. Ignition and accuracy seemed to have improved. As well as cleaning.
I dropped the 30-06 in favor of my preferred .308 in 24". In addition to that I added a 15" .22lr, and 28" 375 H&H.
I'm still looking for a 45/410.
I couldn't be happier with the results of the gun. The accuracy of all the barrels that I've owned have been better than expected. Most are MOA. Other than the short .22lr. And that's because it has iron sights and I haven't shot it further 20 meters. I've never had a misfire, jammed case, or any other problem. I've thought about putting a lockable hinge pin on it but I haven't had a need to. My pin stays where it needs to and accuracy hasn't been a problem.
One thing that attracted me to the Encore/Pro Hunter is that the frame is so versatile. You have the option of almost any caliber you can think of. Any barrel length (depending on if you want to keep it non-restricted). And there are a lot of different stock choices.
