Lets see some pics of your Tacticool VZ 58/858s

lookin' good Stevo.

Thanks. It was a lot warmer today (+5 vs. -20) than the last time I shot it, but it's still ejecting the same 3-4 ft. forward and sometimes a bit left, sometimes a bit to the right. I also noticed the stock BHO spring has about half the coils of my 858s and this was leading to some failures to lock the bolt open with the Neit bolt release installed. Some binding of the bolt release too, but I'll give it a good cleaning and figure out if it's the spring or the bolt release causing it.

Looking at the pic leads me to think that it does not without the rear sight being totally ramped up. I think Stevo said its a qr mount anyways. The rail allows for co-witness. Nothing is ever absolute and without reason though. The right optic is needed. At least the option is there for those who want it. If they don't then they can still use other optics with good results.

No, it doesn't co-witness. You can do a fixed-distance co-witness with a full-size Aimpoint in low 30mm ring, but not with the extra height of the ARMS mount I have that M2 in.

With a quality optic in a QD mount, co-witness is not of the same importance as with a lower-end optic like the TRS-25, IMO.

Does the new hybrid muzzle break significantly reduce the muzzle rise? Im still on the fence between heavy muzzle break and hybrid. Anyone care to share experiences? Im more for muzzle breaking than flash hiding.

Im building my 858 now! its about 3-4 years old now still have not shot it... lol. Hope it doesn't have the gremlin or els. all my effort would be useless lol.

You guys have amazing builds! Will post mine when its done! (Bout a month more lol)

Sorry, i meant does it significantly help with recoil compared to the heavy break.

It's not nearly as effective as the Heavy Brake. I don't have a "scientific" number to give you but I'd say the Hybrid provides maybe a quarter of the braking action as compared to the Heavy.

What do you want your muzzle device to do? Braking, compensation, flash suppression? A combination of two or more functions?

Less recoil as much as possible. I doubt the zombies would care about the extra noise and flash lol.

I hear the heavy can really push the gas out though(and towards the shooter) but i dont mind.

Is there a muzzle break as effective as the heavy that wont throw too much sand in your face when your shooting on the ground?

What are good alternative that are available?(like on stock available and where?)

Thanks for the the answer! Im ruling out the hybrid for sure. So its now either the heavy or another break that has good recoil reduction but less noise and are towards the user(dont know much about the CZ breaks).

I've never noticed any blast from the Heavy when shooting. It goes to the sides and is quite noticeable to shooters beside you. Keep in mind the Heavy doesn't have any ports facing downwards so it shouldn't blow too much debris off the ground.

The Czech military brake works pretty well, too. Both the Heavy and the Czech mil brake are effective compensators. Both are quite loud, especially on a carbine like mine. It's a plugs-and-muffs situation if you're under a roof or inside.

Check with the dealer sponsors for stock. I like GP Tactical and Neit Arms.
