This is exciting news for M14 lovers

I've placed my name on the dealer list for the promag units and will be recieving one to evaluate, test bedding capabilities.... and then I will be shooting the crap out of it and providing Jerry with a full review of my findings. I'll post that info on CGN as well.

to expect this polymer based stock to be anything even close to a JAE aluminum or titanium chassis stock, other than appearance and feel is just not realistic. This is reflected in the massive price difference between the two.

I knew it wouldn't be long before you jumped aboard... Are you gonna offer the same services for this stock os the USGI's you already do...?

*and that was in no way a negative statement, just an observation...

;)

~ OH, & I want one of everything... The M1a, 10/22, and the mini-14 stock (when available)...! :p

I forgot about this thread until now. Here are some photos of both stocks I saw at SHOT last month.

Unfortunately, the booth guys didn't have a lot of extra info available. I only handled them for a couple of minutes, so can't comment too much on quality, but the M-14 stock did fit me well.
The 10-22 one looks like fun also. One thing I did notice is that when folded, to extend the stock it seemed that I had to flex the joint a bit.

I offer custom carbon fiber/composite stocks but simply can not match the price point that these promag m14 stocks are going to come in at. My stocks are custom and will remain that way, there is nothing i'm prepared to skimp on that could possibly bring them to market any cheaper than i have set my pricing at.
So it makes good sense to me to be able to offer other stocks that suit a wider variety of budgets. I'll be bedding and testing these stocks to check for bedding compound compatibility and then I might try some paint schemes to see what finishes like to stick hehehehe
so , yes, I plan to not only add the promag stocks and mounts but possibly other m1a/m14 related products to my inventory. I'd like to be able to offer my clients many options when sending thier rifle in for service, and be able to offer products that suit a wider range of budgets.

I've put myself on the mystic precision pre order list and can't wait til the stocks get here. Mystic said the stock would be 310.00 plus tax and because I'm one of the first 12 to pre order free shipping. Hopefully the stocks will be in to ship by the second week of
April.

Same here with Mystic. I am going to shoot the heck outta the stock adn see what happens. If all goes well then I will do the shortened barrel and get the trigger done up too. Man this stock with the new mags coming in this year as well with full capacity is gonna rock!!

Thanks guys but we are way past 12 stocks now ;)

Promo has been extended until the first batch hits my dist.

As I have said on each PM, the eta is about March BUT it could be longer so will not finalize the orders until I see the stuff actually ready to ship.

The last time I did this, Promag was so swamped it took them months to catch up.

Hopefully, they will have their 'stuff' organized better this go round.

We shall see.

Jerry

Should be pretty exciting to see what these stocks are like. I definitely like the adjustability of stock in that target style sense. I'm curious about the overall stiffness, construction, etc.
