My 44 marlin I bought many years ago had feeding issues and insanley sharp edges (I use to cut my fingers in the reciever all the time)same as other Marlins I have owned in the past. I am not saying quality control hasn't gone down I have noticed tiny flaws in my GBL. But maybe some people are looking harder to find flaws in Marlin now that Remington owns them then before.
