If CCW was legal in Canada, which of your currently owned handguns would you carry?

I would carry my 2" S&W Airweight Model 12, K frame revolver. It is compact and only weighs 19 ounces empty. It can fire +P ammo safely.

I have larger, heavier pistols and revolvers with more capacity and muzzle energy but I think that a smaller, lighter handgun is more practical and realistic for CCW.

I think we just recently did this thread, but what the heck....

Glock 22 .40 S&W with 180 gr Speer Gold Dot JHP's.

S&W Model 37 Airweight snubbie with 158 gr all lead HP's.

I wouldn't carry any of the guns I own.

Concealed carry with a full size pistol is simply retarded!

There is an abundance of compact models, and pocket pistols that fit the bill quite nicely. Why not take advantage of them?

Even with the laws the way they are you can get a Glock 26/27 or a Sig 239, but if CCW was legalized there would be no point keeping the prohib 12/6 class, as the only reason these guns were prohibited is because they were considered concealable.

That said I would still probably carry a Glock 27. Maybe a Ruger LCP, or Kahr both in .380 for the summer time.

There is actually a Sig 230 on the EE right now as well.

I'd carry my Walker Colt repro. It may not be fancy, but I doubt anyone would try anything with that bulge under my coat :p And if they did, I wouldn't have to fire a live round, the muzzle flash would be enough to burn the hair off their eyebrows! lol.

If i could ccw, i would get myself a Ruger LC9. It's small and light enough for carry, thin with the single stack mag and the 9mm would likely be powerful enough.

x2

almost as big of a 'wound' as 45 with alot less recoil

With better penetration than a 45, and higher ammo capacity.

I think I saw a penetration comparison to 7.62x25, and 357 sig won...

But I have also heard the +P+ 9mm compares similarly to 357 SIG, but is harder on the gun...?
