. i think i will keep it mostly stock. i would like to put a side saddle on for sure and if doesnt have pistol grip i would like to put that on also. The barrel doesnt matter too much 18.5 or 20. I would like a slug barrel and smooth barrel too but if i cant thats ok.The things i will mostly use this gun for are alittle target shooting, mostly taking out in the bush on the quad for alittle of protection and fun. i think i will keep it mostly stock. i would like to put a side saddle on for sure and if doesnt have pistol grip i would like to put that on also. My choices are leaning toward the 590A1 SPX, the remington marine magnum and the mossberg 500 JIC marine????? Or eventually maybe own 2 who knows. One fine piece of machinery at a time.
Thanks for the help.
i just bought a mossberg 500 persuader from cabellas before the new year, nice shotgun indeed, i was kinda in the same boat as you though, deciding on either the mossberg 500 or rem 870, i went with the 500 for a price factor, i handled both and the only difference to me was the 870 was a pita to load..... which im sure after a few boxes you would be used to it, the tactical 870 would have cost me another 160$ or so.... i kinda wish i spent the extra money on the 870 now tho..... just seemed like a better quality firearm...i believe the mossberg 500 mariner at cabellas comes with both a pg and a normal stock for 479$..... imo pg's arent very practical, they are fun as hell to shoot tho, but i had terrible aim with mine and went back to a regular stock and dont think i would buy another pg, unless it was for "looks"..
