Clip is the correct term in this case. Mannlicher-type fixed magazines use clips as an integral part of the feed system.

I'll keep it in mind once I found out where you can buy the wizard add on. The reason I would trade is because the device appears to fit on a standard righty mag release, not an ambi.

Now just add a lever to the bottom to make it like a Magpul BAD Lever, and you have one seriously slick system going.

Bad Lever = Fast bolt release

Firearm Control Device = Fast malfunction clearance, while still allowing proper operation of any individual component.

Uh huh. What about the rest of the guys in your company that are also shooting at the bad guy while you are reloading?

I have heard that said before, and I still call old wives tale, except maybe in a few bizzare circumstances.

Ummm, yeah, I'm a civilian so I don't really worry about being shot at while on the range.

And by the way, I recall reading that GI's learned to toss empty clips while waiting for the Nazi/Jap's to pop up for a shot at an "unarmed" good guy. Works both ways.

That being said, given the development of the M14 and any other firearm since has not used the Garand en block clip we can safely say its limitations outweighted it's good sides. No argument.

I don't even own a Garand anymore......but damn I still love the PING

That's a great mod as long as the malfunction is cleared by pulling the bolt to the rear only once.

Completely useless if you need to CYCLE the bolt.
