The Official MDT Tac 21 Thread!!!!! (56k Death!!!)

I sent am email to Laszlo and worked out why my bolt doesnt come backenough to pick up a round. The j lock on my bolt hits the buffer tube. I will get a new shroud and problem solved. I think i will take a grinder to it in the mean time, cant wait to shoot it.

The more I look at it the more I like it...

But 2 things...

1- Does it improve the overall accuracy or it is only for better aesthetics? I own an AI chassis and I was thinking about the pros and cons between the 2...

2- How the OD chassis look like. Anyone has pictures of the green version? At Mystic web the OD chassis pictures look kind of turquoise. Might be the lightning...

Cheers.

P.S. Or perhaps I am not in the right thread to discuss this? Link me please if it's the case.

Thanks.

The chassis is about improving the ergonomics and recoil control. This the chassis does very well.

So if you are more comfy and the rifle is easier to handle under recoil, it will lead to more consistent shooting and that will lead to more accurate fire.

The chassis is also very strong so will handle the normal abuse of the working professional.

Stocks in general do not make a rifle accurate (that is what the barrel and ammo is for) but they allow the shooter to interface with the barrel in a comfortable and consistent manner.

Right now, the colour spectrum is your basic black. You can of course recoat in any colour you want.

MDT will be on display at the Abbotsford Tradex Outdoors show this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday if anyone wants to stop by and check out some chassis

Was holding one of these rigs today at the sportsman show in BC and its a pretty slick setup! I was definately impressed with the weight of it too!

Kitchen envy! That is good. Lol

On an other note, I installed a rem 700 VTR in 223 into the Tac21 chassis system, not one of ours. That triangular barrel looked sweet, cool factor was off the scale. I hope the owner can post some pics.

I see there are some sportsman shows you guys are at, are you planning on coming to the toronto sportsman show?

I'm in between this and an AICS stock, I'd like to see if I like it before cutting an arm and a leg off for one :)
