Have used the Ithaca Model 37 duck hunting.Great smooth pumping shotgun .For myself I perfer it to the Remington Model 870 and the Winchester Model 12, both of which I have used.
I think I had one jam with a reload 1x in all the years I carried my Dad's duck and rabbit hunting as a teenager. As I recall I cleared it in a couple seconds, no big deal. On the plus side nice and light to carry and a pleasure to shoot. On the negative side parts and accesories not as available as Mossbergs or Remingtons. As others have stated be aware of the slam fire function.I read on another site that they're a bit of a hassle to clear if they jam, anybody have this problem?
I have seven of these right now.......(and my only hinged action shotgun is one lonely SKB)
I always seem to notice recoil more with the m37.
Seven? Is that what keeps driving the market price up so I can't afford one?
