Savage 110BA. Your Thoughts & Experiences

one thing about the ammo cost of .338

when your shooting that cal, even if you can only afford 20rds a month Its important not to think about the cost.

If you go $$ every time you pull the trigger it takes the fun out of shooting.

i love the way it looks to and i have to have one in a .338 of coarse but im always spending my money too fast on my other rifles to save up for it haha

EDIT: you cant put a price on fun;)

Back when I first got a 338 Lapua there was no factory ammo around, roll your own was the only option. When I finally found a factory box (Lapua 250 gr Scenars), I was very surprised at the real world velocities, way lower then all the magazine stories that were floating around at the time. Quite an eye opener. - dan

I've always wondered, what's besides the stock and accessories is there any other difference besides one of these to my 110fcp-k?

The action is different from the 110FCP-K in that the 110BA just has a right port for the brass to eject out of. The 110BA looks to be a longer version of the 10BA & 12 Long Range Precision action.

My barrel looks identical, fluting, brake and finish. Right hand ejection also. I'm just curious. The fcp-k was discontinued, the next year the bask comes out and it twice as much money, only appears to be the stock is different to me.

Yes the stock and bolt handle are the biggest difference. I realize the FCP-K ejects to the right as well, the difference on the 110BA is that the action just has a small port for the brass to eject through. Same as Savage's target actions.

Yes sorry. I was just looking for myself while you posted that. I notice some have a more agressive brake than others. Am I on glue? Sorry about being a lazy sob.

No worries :) . The 110BA has a big honking brake on it for the .338LM. I just picked up the 110BA in .300WM and it has the same brake. Haven't been able to shoot it yet, but between the brake and the 18 lbs of weight recoil won't be an issue :D
