One gets the idea that rangebob wants a certain type of holster!
One of the original themes in this thread was to find a combination of gun, caliber, and holster that would be practical. And that combination would be somewhat mass produced.
I have no clue what practical would be.
I'm waiting to see what the vote will be, from those more expert/experienced than I.

Caliber was somewhat settled in the other thread.
The advantage of McQueen's holster is that the firearm doesn't have to be lifted/drawn up as far as a pouch holster would. The disadvantage is that it requires the ring, and it's 'proof' of utility is Hollywood.
There may be another holster design that would also work well.
Someone expressed that they didn't know what McQueen's holster looked like.

[There's also some debate in this thread as to the definition/line between practical(utility)/fun. My purchase, if any, will be for fun, but it would be cool if there was conscensus that it was practical (within the limitations of C68, assorted other law, and without ATC).]
