Is there another market for these? .
My 5'ers have the hole aswell
I prefer the Swiss Arms telescoping stock to the AR / Magpul whatever, when used with a Swiss Arms gun. If you haven't tried one, the telescoping Swiss Arms stocks are quite nice.
10 Round mags, that's the name of the game with this lower. I personally think the AR type stock will be a step backwards with the guns, but it will be cheaper.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you design it to fit the AR grip? You've made everything else AR, why not the grip? Would've made the trigger guard less fugly too.
will check mine to see if they have the hole too. Looks like the mag in the pic is pretty beat up. Not highly recommended for any mag. Few hours later..... All my 5's have the hole also
What should have been is.
Picture was taken at the IWA gunshow in Nürnburg this weekend.

55X-lower for AR15-Mags, made by Swiss Arms.
I have two 5-round SAN mags, made in April 1996 (the dates are moulded in the base plates) and no holes on the body. I also have five 30/5 round mags made between 1990 and 2001 and none has any holes cut out either. I would guess that the modified SAN mags with the holes cut out must be more recent manufacture, perhaps to satisfy the German market, as suggested. Cutting a hole will more likely compromise durability because it creates stress point particularly at the corners, more so if they are cut out after forming the mag rather than incorporating the hole in the mould.Read the descriotion above the pics. Not actually beat up. The mess on the front was my attempt to keep the cracks from spreading. The side shot is of the same mags and you can see they look fine.
+1. That's how I'll be spending my money.
