.Vortex Crossfire has 74 minutes of adjustments in a reasonably priced package with a great warranty.
I have a 6500 elite 4.5-30x50 on my Lapua while I wait for my nightforce... Not a bad scope but pretty dark and hard to find the sweet spot at 30x magnification. Otherwise I like the scope but am hesitant to use it above 22x or so.
Crossfire? On a 50?.

Why not? A 50 is a heavy #####, and most have a huge muzzle break, does not recoil very much at all.![]()
For some unknown reason the 6500, 4.5-30x50 Tactical (#65-4305T) has been discontinued by Bushnell. This was our best selling 6500 last year. We have one left at $916. I agree that the 4200, 6-24x50 Tactical (#42-6245T) is an excellent deal considering it is $728 and very similar peformance to the 6500. Also consider the new Minox Z5A/30 6-30X56 with BDC or XR-BDC reticle for for $849. The Minox have Schott (Zeiss) lenses and are assembled in the USA to compete with the Zeiss Conquest line. Phil.
The tactical 4.5-30x50 does not appear on the 2011 price list and when I tried to add it to my order they said it could not be done. Bushnell is doing a lot of restructuring of it's Elite series models during the next year and it may re-appear in a different format. Elite 3200 and 4200's will eventualy be discontinued and replaced with a hybrid Elite model that will be a mix of the two for features, quality and price. Time will tell if that was the right move. Phil.
