The last I saw at collector's source was $300. They usually got for $200-250 on e-pay, the once or twice a year that they show up there

That being said, this one is for sale in the EE at the moment...

Oh, and if anyone were so inclined, I'd consider a swap for a Mle 1886 or 1886-15 Berthier bayonet

here's one of my Mosins: 1941 Izhevsk, unissued specimen(as it left the factory in 1941), totally original and matching.

From the font and the fact it's been ground down in the area of the serial number, I would say (without being able to hold it and say for sure) that "probably yes".

Time for a revival-

A trio of Finns:
1940 Sako M28-30
SIG barreled M28, I think it's serial number 195 or so, still thick in cosmo.
And a Tikka barreled, Sako assembled (its got both manufacturer proofs) M28, one of the last 500 serial numbers before the switch to the M28-30 occurred.

A quick and dirty group shot with the M28-30 this past weekend with Hornady 208 gr OTM, 40 gr of RL15 and Lapua brass. Four shots are just left of center on the middle bull. 100 yards, all others are 223 development loads. It's quite impressive the quality of workmanship the Finns turned out all while feeling the effects of economic hardship and war.

I lucked out on the 28-30, it's in excellent shape with a pristine bore and bluing.
