Sounds like a great deal. New purchase, or have you had it a while? Counterbored? Bore condition? Mine's not counterbored, but the bore is on the frosty side. Also my rifle's finish looks more worn than yours and is also Christmas Tree marked. I still have the original modified M91 stock which has seen alot of repair work over the years. Yours looks to have been restocked during the Winter or Continuation wars with a wartime round finger-jointed stock. It's possible (probable?) that it was refurbed and reblued at that time as well which would account for the high level of finish on the metal. Most unrefurbed M24's I see are like mine: almost in the white from carry wear.
Nice to see yours also retains the early front band retention bolt in the nose.
These ARE rare birds here in Canada it seems... now if only I could find an M28/30 and a Tikka M91/30 to round things out... (and an M1907 carbine, M91 RV, M27 cavalry carbine, etc... YEAH RIGHT.)
