Something for the Mini-14 Fans

Thanks fnrob! I will be keeping my eye on that one. My mini 14 is my ultimate go everywhere with me rifle. Getting good mags is a pain in the backside though.
 
The "ACR" aspect is appealing with this stock. They aren't generally my type, but the few black rifles I got to get a good look at (XCR, MR1) had comfortable stocks...

Older guys have speculated it's at least partly due to the factory stock/action fit. If anyone here gets one, do a before and after accuracy test to see if this theory holds up.

My 580 series mini shoots great. I don't think that the new stock will hurt the accuracy as it looks like it will be much more rigid than some of the other options out there.

ha. try finding mini-30 mags in 10,20 and 30 lengths, let alone good ones... thats another story all together.

Will be keeping an eye on the stock though, it's got to be better than the tupperware tapco stock. right?
 
I have never considered a mini 14 before for two main reasons...the overall style/look of the standard model doesn't strike my fancy and the stories of limited accuracy. Also everything else (within affordability) is restricted. But!! .. I saw this new stock, and started thinking hmmmm...then I looked into the Target model mini 14 and so far have found (from others anyway) that it does clean up the accuracy pretty good..Soooo, this new Sparta stock (if it becomes a reality) on a Target model and its all non-restricted :D...Taking the leap of faith as i just made a deal for a Mini 14 Target model from another great CGN'r...fingers crossed!! :ar15:

I felt exactly the same way until the newer ranch models came out. Now I have one on order. From all the reviews I've read, Ruger has redesigned the old Mini-14 platform to tighter tolerances and the accuracy has improved substantially. If/when this stock becomes available that will be just another bonus.
 
could you please be a bit more specificÉ, should i expect a couple of weeks, 2-3 monts or late 2011-2012?
 
Sparta Stock - UPDATE

Hey all...as I have been enjoying my mini 14 for a while now..sub moa groups at 200yrds and dropped a couple yotes so far..:D, I did some poking around for info on this stock I have been waiting for and found this from some forums over at perfectunion.com..
