at feather 22

Prohibited, and confiscated from anyone who owned one (with no compensation).

Former Prohibited Weapons Order No. 11

The firearm of the design commonly known as the Feather AT-9 Semi-Auto Carbine, and any variant or modified version of it, including the Feather AT-22 Auto Carbine.

Another illogical piece of the the firearm act. The AT-22 was black, had a collapsible stock and a take-off barrel so it was a 'bad' gun and couldn't even be grandfathered or made a prohib. A total loss for owners. A Ruger 10/22 could be set up the same way... particularly with the short barrels that are now available or with the Butler Creek take-off barrel and the folding stock but its ok. Just about as intelligent as the 1/4" barrel difference on handguns that create the 12(6) class. The AT-22 had the option of having a solid stock installed but even in that format it was a 'no-no'.

I agree, it's absolute bulls**t. Dad had an Intratec TEC-22, and lost it in that same wave of prohibitions and confiscations. Apparently a measly little .22 calibre pistol was too much of a public safety risk for the owners to keep.
