My First Milsurp - Polish M44 (LOTS OF PICTURES!)

6 months ago I bought a brandnew (old) one, same condition as the one posted for $250.
Some people have clearly more luck than others. Unfortunately I seem to be in the latter category... This one wasn't quite the steal, but I'm happy with what I paid.
So far all the guns I own pretty much qualify for "collectors" status and I don't mind paying a bit of the premium for top condition. It's not like I will be reselling it anytime soon.

Unless I am mistaken, this is rifle is chamberred for 7.62x54R - correct ? If so, it would make a terrific companion to my SVT. Without having doen too much research on the matter - which dealers stock these rifles ?

I have the same polish m44 dated 1953, mine does look bether :p Just kidding, I don<t know if you shoot whit it yet, I get only head shoot at 100m on fig 11 whit mine :)

and every one look at the flame going out of the barrel!!!

Damn, that is one fine looking rifle, I've always wanted an M44 for myself as well, just don't know what to look for, would definitely should the heck out of it.

That looks like a beauty. I also have a M44 made in 1955 and have brought it to the range a few times. You won’t be disappointed after firing this baby. It’s not hard to fire it once in a while and keep it clean.

Nice rifle. I was at a WWII shoot several years ago and one of the guys was shooting a Polish M44. I literally laughed out loud at the fire ball the surplus he was shooting made. A fun gun with history.
