MP5s get replaced by Beretta

Does not inda make the mp5 under lic ?
It has to be a money thing.
The mp5 is the best sub gun to shoot handsdown. I would take it over anything else.
But I have only ever shot the mp5 uzi and ar15. In full auto

I think you're thinking of Pakistan. POF produces the G3, MP5, MSG-90, and MG3 under license.

I think the CX4 Storm is an unreliable rifle with crap ergonomics.

Really? I have one and it has never skipped a beat. I put around 500 rounds through it so far. It is light, extremely tough and very accurate. I must admit the trigger kind of sucks though.

I ran several CX4 Storms in different calibers at a commercial indoor range for years. They surprised the hell out of me by being far more durable than I had expected. In fact they performed next to an HK94 and had a similar reliability rate and the CX4 was easier to repair.
Based on my experiences I would bet that the life cycle costs on them are much lower than on the HK guns.

When I bought my CX4 I asked the sales guy "do you know why I'm buying this"? Then I told him "because I can't buy a MP5". He just laughed.

I now have mine in a non restricted form. Lots of fun. The ergonomics aren't crap. The only two flaws are the ears for the built in sights, and the web for the stock. The other ergonomics are excellent. It's basically a big pistol. Mine hasn't missed a beat either.

One other note, it's pretty much a quick break down firearm. One pin in the middle and it pulls into two parts. Easy for storage and take down is a snap.

Would I prefer it over a MP5. Probably not, but it's still one of those firearms that really surprised me. I've gone to a store ready to buy something and then been so disappointing after seeing it that I didn't buy it. The CX4 Storm was a case of not really looking for one, then seeing one messing around with it and deciding I had to have one.

The M21 sight works well with them too. I took this one off my Tavor.

I'd be interested to see if I can order the super short barrel from the FX4 and fit it to the CX4 since it's already restricted anyways.

i got one of the little berretta carbines in .40 cal and love that thing its light, quick on to target, never fails and with the one moa bushnell holo sight on it anything up to a hundred yards is gonna be a hurting unit if i decide to shoot it lol and dont forget all controls with the exception of the bolt release are totally reversible for left handed shooters including left or right hand side ejection and you got a total win.Dont get me wrong but i love the MP5 but i think alot of people are cutting up the little beretta because its a polymer gun unlike the MP5 being of steel but the same people cutting up the plastic berretta are probably some of the biggest fans of the glocks and all the other polymer pistols out there

The other plausible explanation is that somebody got a kickback from Beretta. I can't think of any other reasons why anyone would choose what is essentially a militarized version of a hobby rifle over the MP5, the gold standard of SMGs.

Then again, this is the country whose military uses the INSAS, so maybe it doesn't have to make sense.

Guess time will tell if the Tatta Group will add Beretta Firearms to its stable of companies...
I miss my civilian cx4 though, maybe it will be replaced with a .40 instead of the 9mm I owned.
Tight Groups,
Rob
