Where can I get one; or, can I import one?

Does anyone have one?

I'm asking principally because they have an integral sound-suppression-system built into the barrel, and I'm curious whether they've been banned by Order in Council or some other nanny-state-bureau... I see them advertised in American Rifleman all the time.

Yet in England they are legal as it wouldn't be proper to disturb your neighbors.By the same logic I propose we remove all mufflers from vehicles to warn pedestrians of oncoming traffic...................Harold

Bought it from someone on Gunnutz.

Don't know. I'm in Florida and it's in my gun safe at home.

Pretty. It's a tack driver.

You can buy them at Bass Pro or Gander Mountain down here. Just walk up, pay for it and go home.

You can just bring it across the boarder even tho its a "firearm"?

maybe electric cars should be banned too...they don't make any noise that would warn people to get out of the way.Do I see a multi-bilion dollar class action lawsuit against the manufacturor for ''negligence''?

actually, this was the express purpose of sleigh bells, sleighs being damned near silent in an urban environment.

So... It was in Canada that you bought it?

I wonder where (how?) your seller got it... I'd love to have one! How much did you pay for it? You have it registered as a Non-restricted?

If they're legal, I expect that it's because the compensator is integral and cannot be removed from the barrel.

It's registered as a firearm, non-restricted.

I can't remember what I paid, but it was around $350 with heavy duty scope on it.

I saw one at Walmart here in Orlando the other day for less than $300.

I'm surprised you still have it. Dealers were ordered to pull their stock and stop selling them because of the suppressor. I wouldn't try to bring one in if I were you...

Which retailers sell the GAMO Whisper in Canada & do they still?

I'm curious about idontknowjack's source of information/experience regarding this situation... I see airguns with "recoil-compensators" in Canadian Tire, just not the Whisper... What's up with that?
