Until I get a letter in the mail or a phone call from the CFC I don't believe anything I read on the internet!
If this is some kind of policy now they must inform the owners of these changes.
I have not been informed of any such changes as of yet, and an internet post is far from an official notification.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse unless you are a cop.
I don't believe that the RCMP are doing that for the M&P 15/22 mags and they are very clearly now limited to 10 rounds from the original 25. Ignorance of the law is no excuse unless you are a cop.

Mmattockx siad it Ignorance is no excuss...however the owness is upon you to inform yourself of changes. The registry and all associated laws are orriented to persecute not encourage compliance. These laws are written as such to IMO be cloudy and hopefully catch you breaking them to further the "anti" or NATO backed public disarming of public.
I can see the headlines now "Local man charged for having prohibited devices under firearms act---may face 10 year imprisonment" The story will go on to say an automatic assualt type rifle seized along with prohibited high capacity magazines. In reality it will be some farmer and his sons out plinking gophers with a SR22. We all know how this will play out in the media.
I would like to see someone(more knowledgeable about laws and better spoken than I) beat the anti's to the punch and launch a national letter to editor campaign educating the public to the persecution of firearms owners in Canada. The newly created 2 million criminals at large in Canada

Ok, so it's STILL legal to use 25 round magazines in the Charger? In this case you're using RIFLE rimfire magazines that HAPPEN to fit in a certain pistol. If the Charger was marketed with a 25 round Butler Creek mag then the 25 round mag would be prohib. But since it (the Charger) is marketed and sold with the 10 shot rotary mag, the Butler Creek (and all other aftermarket brands of 10/22 mags) is good to go in the Charger?
Am I understanding this right?
That's just the reverse of the LAR mag situation. Using pistol mags of a capacity greater than 5 that happen to "fit" in a rifle. As long as they're marketed as pistol mags and not rifle mags.
Stoopid goddamn laws.![]()
Stupid is not even the word friend. The laws are rtarded at best.
But in answer to your question.=NO you cannot use the bc's in the charger.(I think)lol.
Any mag in any pistol in Canada can only have 10 rnds regardless.

I think you are wrong friend.
Mags can be prohibited. Pistols can be prohibited. I've never heard or seen of any laws that says putting a non-prohibited mag into a non-prohibited pistol suddenly makes the combination of the two into a prohibited weapon.
