Quick question,
The Ontario hunting regs say I have to leave the tag/wing on a bird until it is prepared for consumption. Well if I just breast out the turkey in the field, can I just transport the meat and leave the carcass out in the bush? Last year when I got my first turkey I ended up taking the entire thing home, but had planned to just breast it out this year (if I'm lucky enough to fill a tag) and take the meat home. I would think that qualifies as being prepared for consumption so don't have to leave a wing/leg attached to verfiy what species the meat is from, but thought I'd ask?
Thanks.
