So I put a utg tri rail on my Norc m14. Looks cool, lots of places to strap crap I don't need, but really it looks good. Now I'm using the stripper clip replacement mount for my Redfield using leupold prw rings. After a trip to the range and a couple of boxes of ammo later I finally get it in line (couldn't bore sight it with the muzzle break on). Maxed out elevation and I'm still too low at 25 yards so not gonna work.
So I'm pissed off, get it to the shop, and rip off the muzzlebreak so I can boresight, and try and shim the back ring to bring the scope down. Put about 2 mm in. And it seems to boresight fine now. Is there something better I can do, I really dislike having to shim that much. I want to keep the rail though.
